Project Overview

The project will award one research grant for country (Italy and Spain) with the primary objective of supporting Ph.D. students in their research endeavors focused on EU consumer rights. Selected universities will be entrusted with the task of enrolling eligible Ph.D. students who meet the project’s criteria and awarding them the research grant. The grant can have a maximum value of EUR 30,000. The grant will be disbursed to the university, which will then assign the grant to the selected Ph.D. student. The project will organize networking events at least once a year, bringing together scholarship recipients, professionals, and researchers in the field of consumer rights. These events will facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and mentorship opportunities, enabling students to expand their professional network. The topics for these events will be selected collaboratively by CEP and the selected universities which will be responsible for organizing and producing these events. The CEP Scholarship Initiative will sponsor an annual research conference centered on consumer rights. This conference will provide a platform for scholarship recipients to present their research findings to stakeholders, engage with fellow researchers, and participate in academic discussions. It will also create opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations and foster a sense of community among participants. The project will support the creation of tangible outputs, such as the CEP Journal, to showcase the work of scholarship recipients and contribute to the field of EU consumer rights. This includes the publication of research papers, articles, and case studies, promoting knowledge dissemination and enriching academic discourse.
